Rachael McBrydie, child Podiatrist Christchurch

Hi, I’m Rachael

Kia Ora. I look forward to assisting you with any foot problems you may have.

I’m an experienced podiatrist who can help you with your feet or lower leg injury and pain. I grew up in Central Otago and returned there after University. At the age of 23, I had heel pain for about a year from a squash injury which limited the running, tramping and skiing I could do. After GP visits, physio, massage and rest, the GP advised visiting a podiatrist - like it was some sort of voodoo medicine. After being fitted with an orthotic, the heel pain was gone within two weeks. I couldn’t stop thinking about podiatry as a career because it had made such an impact on my life.

After returning from London, I retrained as a podiatrist and have never looked back. I have worked in many private clinics and hospitals in Auckland and Christchurch. I love podiatry care and expanding my knowledgebase and experience of how to help my patients.

I have lived in Christchurch for ten years and have three teenage children at three different schools. They are involved in rugby, rowing, basketball, dance and skiing. I am very familiar with associated sports injuries and growing injuries and trying to communicate, motivate and engage with tweens and teens.
